I have experienced so many people who have no interest in following God because of a misunderstanding of His character. He’s been viewed as an impersonal, controlling tyrant; a hindrance. I myself have believed these lies, and as He reveals His true character to me I want to make films that portray Who He truly is. He is Love (1 John 4:8).  He is freedom (2 Cor. 3:17). He is good (Psalm 107:1). He is just (Deut. 32:4). He is mercy (Ephesians 2:4) He is the truth (John 14:6, John 8:32).  He is everything pertaining to life.(Exodus 3:14) He is life. (John 14:6) He wants to be actively involved in our lives. (John 15:15) My ambition is for my films to show that truth.

God is the Creator of the natural world (Genesis 1:1, John 1:3) and His Character is displayed in his creation (Romans 1:20). God is not found only inside the four walls of a church building, but rather throughout all that He created. As humans, we are a part of creation and are called to steward it.  (Psalm 145:9, Genesis 1:27-28) We are called to connect with Him through His creation.

We live in a fallen and corrupt world.  His Word is misused. His name is slandered. His creation is being destroyed. His people are oppressed. We live in a dark world, where lies and evil run rampant. The Bible calls us to be a light (John 1:4-5, Matthew 5:14), and I want to expose the lies of this world (2 Cor. 10:3-6). I want to tell stories of God and His Creation that make people think and take action in their lives. I want to conserve His truth, and to prepare people for His second coming, when He will  bring a new heaven and a new earth. (Revelation 21:1-4)

I have always been passionate about storytelling. When you read the Bible, Jesus shared His teachings through parables and stories. While I am interested in producing books and other forms of art, I feel that film is a powerful medium because it is one that uses so many different aspects of art. Music, photography, art, and composition are all used to tell stories that are brought to life on the screen. When I watch a grealy executed film, I connect with the characters and their stories in a profound way. I feel their pain, and rejoice with their success. We connect with stories because our lives are stories, and He is the ultimate storyteller Who is writing our stories as we speak.

While I experiment and create a vast array of work, I find that I am attracted to predominantly Narrative films. Currently I create short films, but I am looking to grow and produce mid-length and feature films. My films have a very raw feel to them, one that captures the real beauty of God and his creation and yet shows the gritty, difficult and sometimes ugly struggles and battles of this life. I produce a mixture of content, some that are adapted from true stories and others that are fiction works inspired by real life.  I’m desiring to travel the world and tell stories from all different backgrounds and cultures.
